Medical Billing Specialty Experience

Dale Brinkman, MPA, FACMPE – Dale graduated from Wright State University in 1974 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology.  He earned his Master of Public Administration in Health Care at the University of Colorado in 1979.  Dale achieved his Fellow status in the American College of Medical Practice Executives in 1995.  He has completed his core curriculum courses as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. (MCSE)  He is a past President of the Colorado Medical Group Management Association.

Dale has worked in large hospitals and for small and large physician practices.  He began his management and consulting practice in 1985.  He has developed successful medical staff personnel and physician billing companies.  In the last five years his consulting practice grew nationally to serve clients through the development of physician hospital organizations, management service organizations and physician group practices.  Dale has seen clients through the initial development periods and has taken responsibility for contract management of the practice operations.  He continues to consult and manage physician practices.

Darien Brinkman, MPA - Darien graduated from Ohio University in 1972, and earned her Master of Public Administration at the University of Colorado in 1981.  Darien developed the billing service in 1986 and has grown to serve multiple specialties and physicians in the Denver, Colorado area.  Darien has developed a comprehensive knowledge of the issues related to physician patient billing, insurance reimbursement, managed care requirements, information systems, and meeting the needs of the physician client.

Julie Conroy, B.S., Administrator –Julie has been employed in the healthcare industry since 1989 and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management.  Julie has been with Western Skies Billing since 2003 and oversees the company’s operations.  She has extensive knowledge of accounting and medical billing procedures and managed care.  Julie has expert knowledge of GE’s Centricity Practice Management software, Centricity Analytics, and high level technical experience in healthcare information systems, networks, software and hardware, UNIX/AIX and Microsoft products.  She is a member of Colorado MGMA and sits on the Office Manager Advisory Panel for the Colorado Medical Society. 

Gina Johnson, Assistant Administrator –Gina has been employed with WSB since 2005 and has 28 years of experience of managing a large physician group practice.  Her experience includes system development, operations, analysis of financial indicators, managed care contracting and negotiations.   Gina is a member of Colorado MGMA and was a CMGMA Board Member for five years.

Peggy Williams, Director of Client and Staff Relations– Peggy has 20 years of comprehensive experience managing physician practices, and providing the “hands-on” expertise to assist our clients with their practice systems and billing issues.  Peggy is responsible for recruiting the excellent staff of account representatives to meet your medical billing needs.
